Post pregnancy I started facing many skin problems from dryness, to acne, to saggy dull skin. Within months I felt like my skin is aging must faster than my actual age. I tried various famous and expensive brands on the market. Initially all seemed to work, but after few applications I felt like my skin is getting worse than ever before. That’s when I decided to do more research on what actually I feed my skin with.

 

I was shocked to see most products contain stuff which does more harm than any good. Frustrated I thrashed all the fancy tubes and tubs in the bin and decided to follow my mom’s age old advice. A simple face care routine made from natural stuff like lemon juice, cucumber, honey. My skin was at least feeling better, but something was still missing. That aroused my interest in whole natural skin care stuff.

 

I found there were many brands which did offer all natural creams and face wash. But there was a huge gap on the type of ingredients used. Most products either just contained western herbs extracts or Ayurveda brands only had Ayurveda serums. Born and brought up in India, I was no stranger to skin care remedies and benefits of Ayurveda. Living almost 8 years in Melbourne, I was now familiar with the goodness of Australian native herbs and plants.

 

With this familiarity and knowledge, I decided to make up own face care routine incorporating Australian native herbs, essential oils and Ayurveda extracts. I tried it on me and was pleasantly surprised to see the outcome. My acne subsided, break outs were controlled, dryness during winter disappeared, my skin felt softer, glowing and youthful than before. I then asked my husband to use it.  The question he asked was “did you make it?”  He was quiet astonished and was happy with the texture and fragrance and motivated me to start a small business. This made me seriously think about introducing the skin care in market and “Earthly Secrets” was born.

 

We don't know how popular, loved and accepted this brand will be. We hope it is as loved and admired by everyone as much as I and my husband dose. But for us as of now we are enjoying this journey. Long way to go, but the start, the feeling, the vibe right now is awesome. Learning so many different aspects just not goodness of natural elements, but brand designing, marketing and all the necessities for awareness of the brand.
